This last week, our in-house pick-and-place machine ran into a couple of critical component failures, slowing down production on our custom-designed boards. Since every board is assembled and QC’d right here in Washington State—not in a mass-production line overseas—any downtime hits us straight at the source.
Replacement parts had to be sourced from overseas, with an estimated shipping time of 7–14 days (on calm seas 🤣). As soon as they arrive, we’ll rebuild the machine and be working overtime to get caught up.
In the meantime, some of the smaller boards with minimal components are already being placed by hand(albeit WAY slower than the machine), so those orders are moving again while the big machine is down.
And as always, all orders that don’t include one of our in-house manufactured boards are still shipping out daily with no delays. (chips, chip kits, vtec kits, and other off the shelf like items)
This last year has been a rough ride—parts shortages, equipment failures, and more “angry/disgruntled customers” than we care to admit (most of whom never paid a dime(cause in 99% of cases we do not charge until we go to ship and actually print a shipping label) and are just mad we aren’t Amazon overnight delivery). Through all of it, we’re more dedicated than ever to getting back on track and reclaiming our place as the #1 source for OBD1 Honda (GM, BMW, and NISSAN) tuning parts and tools.
TLDR: We’re not disappearing like backyard Johnny the ECU fixer guy. And you have to use one of the other 5 that popped up this week as “Experts”. We’re just really fuc*ing behind (excuse the language 😆), and doing everything humanly possible with the staff we have and the number of hours in a day.
Thanks for sticking with us—we’re pushing hard to restore full production as fast as physics, shipping delays, and sheer willpower allow.
